What is the Plant and Animal Life Cycle?
Plant and animal life cycles are the stages of life that plants and animals go through during their lives. All living things in an ecosystem have their own unique life cycles. Plants start their life cycle from a seed, germinate, grow, and reproduce by making seeds. During the process of photosynthesis, plants make their own food. When the new plant is mature, it is ready to reproduce and create new plants. On the other hand, animals like animals have their own unique life cycle. Each type of animal has their own unique stages of life they go through. Some animals may live in the water while others live on land. Some animals may lay eggs, while others give birth to live young. Like plants, animals reproduce and the life cycles repeat over and over again.
Animal Life
Animal life cycles have a few things in common. For example, all animals need to reproduce in order to continue their species. This means finding a mate and fertilizing eggs. Many animals, from insects to mammals, go through a process of pollination where they transfer pollen from one flower to another flower to help plants make seeds. Some animals may also help plants by spreading seeds when they eat fruit or nectar. Over millions of years, plant and animal life have evolved to continue the cycle of life.
